My introduction

I'm youthful, open-minded, enthusiastic, affectionate, down-to-earth, street- and book-smart, and health- and fitness-oriented. 5'11 and 170, I'm divorced and childless. Raised in Queens, I've been lucky to live as an adult in Nairobi, San Diego, Honolulu, DC, Dallas and Alabama. Living in all those places taught me a lot, widened my horizons, and made me more radical (in a good sense) (based on lots of facts I learned about the economic system we live under). I used to be a published poet and short story writer. Now I'm a beginning filmmaker. I haven't made it as a filmmaker yet, so I still work one kind of day job or other (presently I tutor writing privately). Economically I still live like a college or graduate student, working as little as possible to pay my rent and buy the bare essentials and spending most of my time working on my screenplays and on ways to produce my films. I enjoy hiking, the beach and beach walks (year-round), reading, the movies, progressive politics, alternative health, learning new things, and communicating and working on a relationship. And I'm open to trying whatever you like to do. Though I haven't always been ready for or appreciated them, I've had several great long-term relationships, and am looking for one more best friend/lover/compani on/study partner to love and be loved by. I know how much work and negotiation/compromi se a good relationship takes and I've gotten good at it. Why not meet me for a pressure-free chat over a beverage!
