I am best suited to someone who can appreciate the difficulty I sometimes experience in opening up and expressing my inner thoughts and feelings. I will do poorly with someone who expects instant intimacy. I think my ideal mate won't feel the need to tell me every detail about himself, and he won't expect me to tell him everything about myself on the first date. He should appreciate that it takes time for me to open up, and he will be a supportive and understanding audience when I do.
I am most happiest with a man who generally does his best to avoid conflict. When there is a disagreement, he usually tries to keep the peace instead of trying to win the fight. However, my best match needs to have a strong backbone in order to gain and keep my respect. He won't be willing to go along with an idea if he thinks it is truly bad. If I push too far, he will stand up for his beliefs, even if it means turning a minor disagreement into a major battle.
