My introduction

I'm a recent transplant to the Tri-State area from Washington DC. Honestly, I have yet to understand Jersey. If you are interested in bestowing some insight into what this state is about I am all ears. Generally speaking I'm an open-minded person with strong intellectual leanings. I will surprise and confuse you. It's a specialty that I both adore in myself and hope to smooth out the rougher edges. I am a woman of diverse interests and passions. I am nontraditional yet deeply value culture and family. I like alternative rock music, sushi, nature, meditation, jazz, good comedy, happy hours, great friends, me time and genuine chilling the out. I am a student of psychology and a former rock star wanna be. I sing and play guitar and while it's no longer my main focus I still love love love singing for my own pleasure in my bathroom or at the super occasional gig that I book for myself. I am passionate and loyal. Clear minded...at least some of the time. I deeply value intimacy, openness, honesty, and friendship. For me, to be close, communication is key. I want to share and get to know and build a gratifying relationship. About the one I'm looking for... The most important part of intimacy, for me, is friendship. I am not a person who can jump into an intimate relationship without building an intimate friendship first. So, to be clear, I'm here looking for a friendship first. I'm looking for someone who is curious enough to ask more about me and open enough to tell intimate things about himself. Someone who can geek out on abstract, intellectual thought one minute and make a mindless joke the next. Honesty, directness, and sincerity are qualities I find quite desireable. An intellectual, free spirt with an open mind and heart would be grand. Balanced that with a grounded sense of self purpose/passion and we've got a money match. Overall, someone who is not afraid to be themselves and who cherishes all of me.
