My introduction

I am a youthful, shy guy, philosophical and cerebral, yet emotional and physical. The child in me loves to frolic, loves pillow fights, and loves the untamed countryside. My favorite places on earth are the mountain forests and, especially where the mountains meet the sea. I mostly enjoy outdoor activities esp. hiking, but also vigorously work out at the "Y", do some running and play a little basketball. I started playing golf last summer and really enjoyed the experience. I do love movies, esp. film noir and westerns; although they are superficially "action" movies, the real action is how the characters deal with the forces of nature (whether human or not). I love music, especially world music, classical music and, of course, (my favorite) the acoustic jazz of the 40's through 70's: I enjoy the artistry not artifice. I've learned to try to understand what my needs and true desires are and make sure that my partner is ready, willing and capable of meeting those needs (and help my partner do the same). But you have to be willing to search yourself and be absolutely honest with yourself (and this can be a very difficult task because it requires both ability and courage). Both parties must be capable and willing. I am looking for a woman who is capable of responding to me body and soul; a woman who desires a very close and insightful relationship. I have a strong desire for knowledge and growth so I need an emotionally and intellectually accessible partner willing to be a "rough and imperfect" mirror. In our observations and in our responses to each other we each learn about ourselves. She has a similar need for a partner that is responsive to her emotional and intellectual growth and sense of partnership. She likes to travel, and is adventurous in a reserved way, very thoughtful, insightful, sensual, and discerning but non-judgmental; a sweet, singular woman. She is physically active, visually pleasing (I am quite drawn visually to the human body) and health-conscious. I also want a woman who understands the strong desire to have children. There is nothing like nurturing and guiding young lives and enjoying the experience.
