My introduction

Life is too short to waste time with needless drama. An intellectual conversation gets my attention, so please do not email me if you have nothing substantial to say. Also, please do not send me a request to chat if you have no intention on chatting! Did I not say that life was too short to waste time? I have put a lot of effort into simplifying my life, and I just want someone to share my time with. I am open to new ideas and new activities. Let's chat and see where things go. Experience has taught me that life is so short, so I like to make the most of my time on this earth by being positive, and surrounding myself with "balcony" people instead of "basement" people. I get bored easily, so I like to do different things. Movies, skydiving, museums, just to name a few. I also enjoy bowling, dining out and jazz clubs. I am a hobby genealogist, and African American history is my passion. I am also a published author and motivational speaker. My ideal match: Height: 6'2 to 6'4 mature, a good conversationalist, a sense of humor honest (if there is no trust, ALL bets are off!) good listener, empathetic to the needs of others, can appreciate diversity in a person, very open-minded, uninhibited, knows how to enjoy a great wine and great food, secure within his own masculinity so that he does not need to put a woman in a box on a shelf to just look at her, I understand that no one is perfect, and I am not looking for perfection.
