My introduction

I am a 61 year old, african-american widow with two sons and as you can tell from my pictures, I'm a grandmother...well Nana is our option:)). I've been a widow for sometime, felt my energy needed to go into raising well rounded children. Now its my turn, I'm ready to experience the joy of an intelligent, caring and self-confident man. For many years I made my living as a singer and actress. I now teach and love every minute of it. With me you'll find books on the bookshelf, laughter in my personality, knowledge in constant pursuit, and tenderness in my heart. I'm looking for an intelligent man, one who is confident, but still open to new ideas and thoughts. Someone who has grown in his development, but who still has the ability to grow. A man who enjoys humor and has the ability to laugh at himself and with others, is fun to be with. We all know that looks play a part in our attraction to the opposite sex, so I have to say that tall men tend to catch my eye. But it is also true that the things I'm really looking for may be housed in a man who doesn't meet the 'picture' in my head. So help me laugh, lend me a shoulder, indulge me in interesting conversation and my heart will lean in your direction. Movies, books, cold nights in front of a fire, walks in winter, long drives, interesting friends and loving family, these things make me happy.
