I am so blessed to meet my future husband. I met Henry on July 16, 2008 after being on the site for sixteen days. He sent me several cards and smiles before I finally accepted. From our first phone conversation, I felt a strong attraction to him. Our first date was several days after that and wow what a date it was! It was as if we had known one another all our lives. We had so much in common, I wondered if I had stated that information on my profile. Henry and I are very happy and have discussed plans to get married. We both realize how compatible we are and that we belong together. You see, we both realize that it was not by chance that our paths crossed, but that it was God who set up the date. We both believe in God first. Prayer is the center of our relationship. We both understand that prayer is what will help us through the difficult moments. I love this man.

I have met that very special person that I hold deep in my heart. I had given up hope after meeting someone else from the site, but didn't think he was the right person, but wanted to try anyway. I am presently sitting on my sofa on a serene and peaceful Sunday morning. I am looking across the top of my laptop at my beautiful wife who is also enjoying her quiet time on this laid back blessed day. As we both bask in the sheer pleasure of each other's company, I marvel at the fact that the first time I ever laid eyes on her, it was on this very laptop screen and on this very website. That was back in September of 2006. In June of 2007 we both exchanged wedding vows. BlackSingles, you've done it again! I don't know where to start, but the period of just under a month of being on the site has proved short of a miracle. In all honesty, my joining the site was as a light-hearted distraction. My primary focus was to liaise with like-minded males and hopefully build on a friendship and perhaps date.

I did enjoy the concept of being able to contact members of the opposite without 'strings attached'. I could in the confines and comfort of my home befriend whomever appealed to me!

Having viewed a few profiles, I came across a particular male, whose profile very much appealed to me, as our profiles were very similar. I decided to send a wink acknowledging my interest, of which I promptly received a courteous reply.

E-mails were sent back and forth, which gave us the opportunity to find out quite a bit about each other. Intrigue quickly turned to avid interest and a genuine desire to build on our friendship.

Over the last four weeks, I can truly say that I believe I have found my 'soul-mate' (or rather that God has used this medium to allow us to meet). I salute you BlackSingles and thank you for the efficiency of this site.

I met naturalway in April of 2008. It started with a beautiful card that he sent me. He sent the card on the weekend and at the time I didn't have a computer at home so I didn't pick up the card until the Monday when I returned to work. Neither one of us had an upgraded membership, so we sent cards and sparked for a few days. About 4 days later, I got an email from him. I still had not upgraded my account, so I could not get it!!!!!! He sent another one the next day. Needless to say, I upgraded the account that day. We exchanged telephone numbers and the rest is history!!! We lived 4 hours away from each other, but that didn't matter. We talked on the phone non stop for exactly 3 weeks. He came to Charlotte(my home) for our first date. He took me to a beautiful Japanese restaurant. We both now say that we knew we'd be together forever when we met. He is just the man God wanted me to have!!! When I stopped looking, God sent him. He proposed to me in July, on my birthday. Our wedding is set for this October. Well I have to say, while I was never disappointed with the actual site, I was often annoyed by those men who wanted to play games. But then I met a genuine one, where there was instant mutual chemistry - and Wholla! I'm leaving the site. We are certainly in the beginning stages of building a solid relationship, but I'm confident that he is the one for me. He is such a gentleman, not to mention handsome and sexy.
