I never thought I would meet anyone as sweet & kind as him
WE MET ON BLACK SINGLES ON JANUARY 5, 2008. HE SENT ME A SMILE AND I RESPONDED WHEN I SAW THAT SMILE OF HIS. I WAS A LITTLE NERVOUS AT FIRST BECAUSE OF THE DIFFERENCE IN OUR AGE. WE FINALLY MET AND WENT OUT FOR DINNER AND A MOVIE, CAME BACK TO MY PLACE, AND WE SAT AND TALKED FOR A WHILE. IT WAS GETTING LATE AND I WENT TO SLEEP ON HIS SHOULDER WITH NO WORRIES BECAUSE MY BODYGUARD WAS NEAR BY. HE DIDN'T WANT TO LEAVE. I HAD TOLD HIM I WOULD BE VERY SURPRISED IF HE MAKES IT PASS TWO MONTHS; "SOME GUYS I MET DIDN'T MAKE IT PASS TWO MONTHS. HE SAID VERY CONFIDENTLY NOT TO WORRY, HE WOULD; I LIKE THAT. WE GOT ALONG GREAT! BEING WITH HIM JUST SEEMED SO UNREAL, WE HAVE SO MUCH IN COMMON. THREE MONTHS IN THE RELATIONSHIP I ASKED HIM TO MARRY ME AND HE SAID YES. I GAVE HIM A RING, THEN THE NEXT MONTH HE GAVE ME AN ENGAGEMENT RING; I WAS ON CLOUD NINE. IT REALLY SEEMED EVEN MORE REAL. I DIDN'T THINK WE WOULD GET ALONG BECAUSE OF THE 12 YRS DIFFERENCE, BUT THAT IS A PLUS, WE RELATE TO EACH OTHER WELL. IF I HAD TO DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN, I WOULD. I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD MEET ANYONE AS SWEET AND KIND AS HIM. THIS IS OUR STORY, WE ARE "SOUL MATES". WE WERE MARRIED NOVEMBER 21, 2008.

To say that we are happy is a major understatement.
One day I received a daily update that included a very attractive woman with a smile that could light up the universe. Her username was carmelocs and I was hooked from the moment I saw that smile. I sent her a smile sometime in January and prayed that I would not get the infamous "Thank you for the smile, but I don't think I am a good match for you." Fortunately, she responded that she was interested in talking to me as well. The first time I made contact with her was through the IM section of the website and we talked there for about two weeks. She told me that her name is Michele and she was moving on Valentine's Day to her new home. She told me that address, but I don't think she was expecting to see me on that day. I took a chance and surprised her at her new house with a red rose, a teddy bear, balloons, two cards(a Valentine's Day card and a new home card), and a Hershey's chocolate bar. We spent the day talking and moving things into her home and two days later, I helped her move the rest of her things in. She told me that we could take things one day at a time. I can tell you that this has been the best "one day at a time" I have ever had. I miss her when I am away from her and love holding her close when I am with her. Michele is very attractive, smart, funny, caring, and has a heart as big as all outside. We have learned so much about each other, shared our lives with each other, and grown as a couple. To say that we are happy is a major understatement. We have spent so much time laughing and learning from each other; it has been great each and every day and we pray it will only get better. On Thursday December 4, 2008, we became engaged and will be married on October 24, 2009. Thank you for helping us find each other.

He is amazing...
I have met the love of my life on this site. He sent me a smile in January and I did not respond. Then he sent another smile and I still did not respond. I had met different guys and went out on a couple of dates. Finally, I gave him a chance and we have seen each other every single day. We fell in love and now we are engaged. We got engaged November 30, 2008. He got down on one knee. He asked my parents first, which is honorable seeing that I am almost 40 years old. I just turned 38 on my birthday December 5th. On my birthday I asked him to marry me too in the middle of Time Square and our friends video taped it and he said Yes and it was amazing and perfect!!! We are getting married July 4, 2009 in Jamaica. He is amazing and I am so thankful to God for him to have found me. If you read my profile, you would know how difficult it would be for me to find someone to respect me to receive the love I offer in exchange. Thank you guys!!

I have never been so happy.
I wanted to share this story with everyone who is in love. I met my dream man and God fearing man on Black Singles in June of 2007. Pookie had just gone through surgery and was in recovery at home looking over his BlackSingles email and spotted my profile. He sent me a smile and well time has it. We were married in May of 2008. He is the warmest and most gentle man I have ever known. I know my God sent him to me. I had been in an abusive marriage for 23 years. I never thought or believed a man could be so gentle and caring and most of all my best friend... until I met Pookie (smile). To all the women still looking... don't stop, but ask God to send you a mate and He who finds a wife, finds a good thing. Wait on the Lord and thank you Black singles. I have never been so happy.

Two worlds working to become one...
Together …
After much hesitation, I decided to try online dating. I always stated my status as looking for friends, because to me a strong relationship should focus on a solid friendship first. Additionally, I wasn't sure if I truly were ready to date. So, not to give anyone false hope, I never said I was dating, just looking for friends, this in my opinion would reduce the possibilities of pressure.
Well, after a few months of conversations and a few “unhopefuls”, I met someone. My new love interest came when I really had become unhopeful. Had I never created a profile on BlackSingles, I honestly feel our paths would never have crossed. It took us a minute to finally meet in person, but once we met ...I instantly felt a flutter within my heart. It was like I had an instant crush and I felt he could possibly be my soul mate; but my thoughts were, "Slow down, better be careful...sometimes things are too good to be true." We first made contact on BlackSingles in Oct of 2007, met in person in March of 2008; now some months later, we have become a couple. My king and I are “Together".
We decided we will walk and not run, continue to get to know each other and fortify our castle together, while strengthening our relationship and its future. Today, we have agreed to be committed to each other and work towards that next level all relationships aspire to. Our two worlds working today to become one tomorrow...may God bless us and maybe this time next year "Stong_Willed" and "Canwetalkmydear" will be Mr. & Mrs.
