I lost my first love in 2003 after 25 years of marriage and began searching dating sites for companionship in 2004. But after only one month of membership at blacksingles.com in October 2006, I found my new love, Dmg06 of Florida. We bonded immediately after chatting and then talking on the phone. He, too, had recently experienced the loss of a spouse. We have so many things in common, we definitely complete each other. We met Nov. 5th and have been meeting every weekend since that day even though I am almost 300 miles away in Mississippi. Marriage is definitely in our plans for the new year, and we can hardly wait. Thanks be to God and thanks to Black Singles for helping us find each other.

All I ever wanted.
There is definately a God in Heaven watching over me. My new man is all I ever wanted. He is romantic, fun and he Loves me for me. We are currently 10,000 miles apart but our hearts are not. He just finished his first visit to my country and we are headed in the right direction for a life of LOVE LOVE and more LOVE. I wouldn't change a thing. She was everything that she said she was.
I signed up on Black Singles in June. On the day that I signed up, I was browsing to see just what this site had to offer over the other online dating sites. I was very amazed to see that there were so many Black Single women out there looking for that special someone. I then came across my now fiance who went by the name Classy grl001. I sent her a smile. She took a look at my profile and replied back. This was unexpected to me, especially since I had no pictures posted. I proceeded to post pictures and because I was so busy at the time forgot all about it until one day a few weeks later she sent me an email. We went back and forth for a couple of more weeks with the smiles until one day we both happen to be online at the same time. We exchanged a few IM's and from there decided to exchange numbers. We then began to talk over the phone everyday and do video chats on MSN for three months. Until finally I just had to meet her in person. This was some 3 months later. She was everything that she said she was, and that I had hoped she would be. Even though she is in Chicago and I am in New Jersey, we still made a connection. We are madly in love with each other and are making plans even as of now for me to move there and for us to have a life together. It doesn't matter about the distance between two people, what really matters is how sincere and dedicated you are to making thing work out with someone that sparks your interest. Up until this point in time I had been single for 3 1/2 years and no one that I had encountered in that time had made me feel the way she did. Thanks Blacksingles.com for your assistance and to all of you still searching know what it is that you are looking for and don't settle for something close. Because with all the people that are on here there is bound to be someone that meets your every criteria. Don't give up, hang on, be strong.

I pray that God keeps us going.
I am glad to say that I have found love with one of the members here. She is grownwoman318. We talk alot which is what I love about her. She is sweet and lets me know how much she cares for me. I have scheduled a trip to see her Friday August 18. I will spend a week with her and her family. I bought a web cam so she can see me as much as she wants. She did the same thing for me. I love her for that. It has been a month for us now. I pray that God keeps us going.

LOVE HAS FOUND US AT LAST
I joined BlackSingles.com the last week of April 2006. I have met quite a few people on it. I have sent quite a lot of smiles and cards and received the same. I upgraded my account by paying for a month subscription in the first week of May. I can remember one person in particular was sending me smiles and I kept ignoring them cause the picture she posted wasn't that captivating. After about five or more smiles, I finally sent her a smile telling her thanks for the smiles.
I decided to reread her profile. I then found out that we wanted the same thing and we have been through similar experiences. I IM'd her and we then exchange phone numbers.
I called her and ever since we have been communicating. I can't stop thinking of her. She captivates my heart and I couldn't believe I was ignoring such a warm-hearted person. She turns out to be a beauty out of Louisiana. She came to New York where we got more acquainted and there I found out she is the woman I have been looking for all my life.
I have said I would wait on God to develop friendship into love. Well, I'm proud to announce that it has happened and we will be married in December of this year.
I thank God for her. I would more than recommend this site to any one and I must say this site is number one. I wish every one on this site all the best that life has to offer.

I now live in Louisiana with my queen. I am so happy, I could never be more happy, we changed our wedding date to February cause I want my dad to attend from Jamaica.

We are now The Happy couple, We got married on February 17,2007 and honeymooned in Las-Vegas. It was one of the best times of our life. I ask God to be with us.
